FEATURES

908 Series ST
®
and 308 Series SC Connectors
are designed and manufactured to
meet EIA/TIA FOCIS Intermateability
specifications.
The Methode ST
®
& SC Quick-Cure™
system combines Methode’s patented
polymer ferrule technology with a
proven rapid cure adhesive. Quick-
Cure™ terminations take two minutes
or less, yielding low-loss results with
lab-tested reliability. The polymer
ferrule has a pedestal tip that
supports the fiber during polishing,
eliminating the need for an epoxy
bead. The pedestal tip prevents
inadvertent fiber breakage resulting in
reduction of polishing time and scrap.
The anaerobic adhesive used in the
Quick-Cure™ process cures in twenty
(20) seconds at room temperature.
Methode ST
®
and SC Quick-Cure™ con-
nectors terminate with the same tools as
all other Methode connectors. Quick-
Cure™ adhesive can be ordered sepa-
rately or as part of a consumables kit.
Methode’s Universal Polishing Disk
accommodates SC, ST
®
, FC, duplex SC
and FDDI Connectors. This unique
tool can handle up to four (4) ST
®
or SC
connectors at one time.
