Output
Notes:
1. Start up time is measured at nominal input and with a constant resistive load.
2. Cross regulation is measured with the output being tested at 50% load. The second output is varied
from 10% to 100% load.
3. When measuring output ripple, it is recommended that an external ceramic capacitor (approx
1 µF to 10 µF) be placed from the +V
OUT
to the -V
OUT
pins.
4. Short circuit protection is provided by a “hiccup mode” circuit.
5. Isolation capacitance for 24 VDC output models is 2,000 pF. Isolation capacitance is measured from
input to output at 100 kHz/0.1V.
6. The maximum control current at the on/off pin (pin 6) during a logic high is 50
µA.
The maximum
control current to the on/off pin at logic low (-0.7V to 0.8V) is 1 mA. If the on/off pin is left open, the
unit operates. If it is grounded, the unit will shut off.
7. These units should not be operated with a load under 10% of full load. Operation at no-load will not
damage the unit, but they may not meet all specifications.
8. These units should not be operated over +85°C. Exceeding +85°C may damage the unit.
9. It is recommended that a fuse be used on the input of a power supply for protection. See the Model
Selection table above for the correct rating.
Derating Curve
Output Over 5VDC
External Trim
Derating Curve
Output 5VDC & 3.3VDC
On single output units, a simple external circuit may be used to adjust the converter output.
To adjust the output DOWN, connect a 5%, 3W resistor between the plus output pin and
the Vout trim pin. To adjust the output UP, connect a 5%, 3W resistor between the minus
output pin and the Vout trim pin.
For UP/Down trimming capability, connect a 10 kW potentiom-
eter between the plus and minus outputs with the wiper arm
connected to the Vout trim pin.

2. To meet the requirements of EN 61000-4-4 (±2 kV), external components are
needed. This can be done discretely, or with the addition of the
DCFM-0x.
