Industrial Ethernet patch cords shall be constructed
of Category 5e, industrial grade, stranded, twisted
pair cable for UTP and STP installations. Each
patch cord shall be pre-terminated to include
Category 5e industrial plugs on each end which are
wired according to the T568B standard. Tethered
caps shall be available to protect connectivity in
un-mated conditions. An IP67 rating shall be
achieved when mated with an IP67 industrial
grade, bayonet style connector.

for Industrial Network applications. In the
mated conditions, these patch cords can
withstand high temperature and high vibration,
commonly found in metal forming or
automotive manufacturing. The IP67 rating is
imperative in the food and beverage industries
where wash down is common. Pre-integrated
tethered caps allow for the plugs to be
protected in their unmated condition, such
as during shipping, storage, installation
or maintenance.
