The
BCM8711
is a fully integrated 10GE receiver operating at
10.3125 Gbps with deserializer, CDR, and loss-of-signal (LOS)
detection circuitry.
The
BCM8711
provides high-jitter tolerance and low-jitter
generation to comply with the Optical Internetworking Forum
(OIF), IEEE 802.3ae, Telcordia, ANSI, and ITU-T standards.
The
BCM8711
reference clock frequency is user-selectable to
either the line rate divided by 16 or 64.
Major receiver functions are:
• 10.3125-Gbps CML input receive serial data
• 10.3125-Gbps Clock and Data Recovery
• Serial-to-parallel conversion
• 16-bit parallel LVDS output
• Selectable reference clock frequencies
• Lock detect
• Loss of signal
