PRODUCT
The LC connector was designed by Lucent
Technology’s Bell Labs. It is a small form factor
connector based on the familiar RJ-45 telephone
interface and is available in both simplex and
duplex designs.
It has a free floating ceramic ferrule allowing for
cable movement without adversely effecting the
mate. The LC is a spring loaded connector for
physical contact butt coupling. It has a pull-proof
locking system and couples with an audible
latching system to indicate positive mating.
