GENERAL PURPOSE SENSOR
DESCRIPTION:
Type GT thermistors consist of a G type thermistor
mounted in a semi-flexible epoxy resin and
housed within a nickel-plated brass case.
Connection is made with 7/0.2mm silver-plated
copper conductors insulated with PTFE.
Primary applications are temperature
measurement and control.

GENERAL PURPOSE SENSOR
For temperature measurement the electrical power
dissipation within the thermistor should be limited
so that the element temperature is raised by less
than half the measurement resolution required.
This prevents the thermistor from becoming over-
sensitive to the thermal conductivity of its immedi-
ate surroundings. If the thermistor is permanently
situated in a stable environment more power may
be dissipated.
