The Blue Sky Research
FiberDrive
TM
laser module features a high output power, fiber
pigtailed 635nm laser diode, and integrated drive electronics in a compact, easy to use
package. Standard features include Automatic Power Control (APC) or Automatic Current
Control (ACC) electronics, 1-m single mode fiber pigtail, and 5V dc operation. From
1.5mW to 100mW power output options are available depending on the source diode used. In
addition to 635nm, the following wavelengths are also available: 658nm, 685nm, 785nm,
808nm, 830nm, 850nm and 980nm. Custom wavelengths, power options, and laser
configurations will be considered.
The small foot print
FiberDrive
TM
package measures 2.8”x0.94”x0.6”
(71mmx24mmx15mm), and incorporates a 1-meter, single mode or polarization-maintaining
fiber pigtail for OEM, remote sourcing, and measurement or instrumentation applications.
The
FiberDrive
TM
module requires 5Vdc for operation, and includes monitoring, control, and
protection circuits. Users can easily configure the
FiberDrive
TM
to ACC or APC modes of
operation via a simple jumper connection, and vary the output power via a trim-pot.
Available options include: Fiber type: SM, PM or MM fiber; Connectors: FC/PC, FC/APC,
SC/PC, or SC/APC; Depending on the desired wavelength, from 1.5mW to 100mW output
power is available; and/or Collimators, and pins for PCB mounting.
Custom wavelengths,
power options and laser configurations are available upon request.
