Performance
The Blue Sky Research FiberTEC 532
TM
laser module features a DPSS laser delivering a superior beam either
through a single-mode fiber, SMF, pigtail, or a polarization-maintaining fiber, PMF. The module contains a
thermoelectric cooler (TEC) and integrated drive, and protection electronics in a reduced, integrated, easy to use
package. Standard features include a SLEEP option, a 1mm collimator, low optical power alignment control,
and 5V dc operation. There is also a variable power option for high performance over a wide range of output
power. The FiberTEC 532
TM
package is a BSR standard size measuring 86x40x40 mm, and is a complete laser
system, which requires no external power conditioning, control boxes, or fan cooler systems.
The FiberTEC 532
TM
module makes use of proprietary technology to deliver a steady low noise output, over a
wide power range, with high power stability that avoids oscillations of normal DPSS lasers when fiber coupled.
Power out to 30 mW CW is available. With the variable power option, excellent stability and noise can be
maintained down to 20% of full power. This eliminates the need for costly external attenuators. The output
beam is collimated and provides the highest pointing stability available. The proven DPSS technology boasts
high reliability - the FiberTEC 532
TM
obsoletes green HeNe lasers for most applications. Options for
collimators with varying beam sizes are available.
