FRDM-BC3770-EVB: BC3770, Freedom battery charger expansion board without KL25Z

Overview

The Freedom expansion board FRDM-BC3770-EVB is a fully programmable switching charger with dual-channel outputs for single-cell Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries and can be used with the FRDM-KL25Z ( sold separately ).

This dual-channel output enables mobile applications to start the system from a fully discharged or dead battery. The BC3770's high-efficiency features and switching operation reduce heat dissipation and enable higher currents in certain package sizes. The BC3770 is equipped with a single-channel input capable of 20 V and can provide up to 2 A of charging current. Charging parameters and operating modes are fully programmable via an I²C interface operating at frequencies up to 400 kHz.
