48 V battery management system application solutions

Overview

This reference design board provides a solution for a 48 V battery management system (BMS) in automobiles with the following features:

Robust SBC (FS6501) as power supply and microcontroller (MPC574xP)
to sense the voltage of up to 14 Li-ion cells
Current sensing with on-board shunt resistor
Six-channel temperature measurement via external NTC, four AFE channels, two MCU ADC channels
Single-channel temperature measurement of battery resistance balancing area with on-board NTC
