I want electrically selectable ranges, so no hardware switches, on these cheap multimeters. The electrically selectable range allows you to automatically change the range, which is convenient especially for controlling PC multimeters. This is done by using a 74-3157 analog switching voltage and current relay, which I think is another interesting part of this circuit. Finally, after the signal is used in safe conditions, it is buffered to the ADC of the microcontroller. Voltage can be measured in two ranges: ±60 V and ±6 V. Current test range is ±500ma
