January 13, 2021:
I originally wanted to change the USB-A on the PCB to be double-sided and optimize the stacked structure.
But today I discovered a problem: There are two metal contacts on the back of the USB-A port. According to the mechanical diagram, if it is designed to be pluggable on both sides, it may be short-circuited with the gold finger on the back. It would indeed be possible to solve this problem if you use a switch to manually select sides on demand, but this is neither elegant nor convenient.
I've been thinking about this for a few days, do you have any good solutions?
