MPC8272ADS: Application development system for MPC8272

The MPC8272ADS board is designed to aid hardware and software developers of the PowerQUICC® II family by providing an evaluation platform for MPC8272/48 derivatives in the 516-pin PBGA (ZQ/VR) package. The MPC8272ADS board supports MPC8247, MPC8248, MPC8271 and MPC8272 processing device. The MPC8272ADS board has 64MB of SDRAM attached to the 60x bus (soldered onboard) and an 8MB Program Flash SIMM (supports up to 32MB). Onboard interfaces include JTAG/COP, dual UART, USB 1.1, two 100/10-Base -T Fast Ethernet interface and a fiber optic-enabled 155 Mbps ATM UNI interface. Using the ADS on-board resources and an associated debugger, developers are able to download and run code, set breakpoints, display memory and registers, and connect proprietary hardware via the expansion connectors. That code can then beincorporated into the desired system with the MPC82xx processor.
