  • This design is an audio power amplifier module based on FM8002E

  • The supply voltage of TDA7297 is 1.6-6V, the standard voltage is 5V, the output power is 2W, it is a mono audio power amplifier, the peripheral circuit is simple and the power is large, and it has a standby function. It is a very simple and convenient audio power amplifier chip. At the same time, the chip quotation is cheap and cost-effective. The chip's operating voltage is low and is suitable for use in embedded designs.

  • This design refers to the recommended circuit design in the chip manual

  • This project is to reduce costs and save space as much as possible. Capacitor selection may damage the sound quality. However, the power amplifier chip selected this time is designed for low-cost applications, and the impact of capacitors on sound quality may be relatively minor.

Pin description:

  • SHUTDOWN: The op amp shuts down pin, which is active at high level. The op amp can be shut down through an external pull-up resistor. In this project, in order to simplify the circuit as much as possible to save cost and space, the SHUTDOWN pin is connected to the pin header. During use, it can be grounded through a jumper cap, or connected to the IO port of the microcontroller to control the opening and closing of the op amp.
  • The remaining pin descriptions can be found in the chip manual in the attachment.
  • To save space, all lead terminals are pin headers and can also be soldered directly.
