• This project is used to verify the solution verification board design of the Lichuang Mall USB to UART chip FT4232HL-Reel.
• This project is  a sample project for the Solicitation Order for Lichuang EDA open source hardware platform  solution verification module .

1. Chip description

• FT4232HL is a USB to 4-way serial port protocol chip from FDI
• Two of them can be configured as UART, JTAG, SPI, I2C or bit response mode serial port with independent baud rate generator
• UART baud rate supports up to 12M

2. Design description

• This design is the smallest system of FT4232HL
• Use micro USB interface for power supply and communication
• Lead out all pins of the four-way serial port
• 8 onboard communication indication LEDs

Note that     the DCR check changes the design rules to Spacing 0.127 and Hole OD 0.5

Driver Installation

Connect the board to the computer and open the device manager. You can see four serial ports appearing at the same time.

According to the pin description of the chip, ADB0 and ADB1 are the TX and RX of serial port 1; BDB0 and BDB1 are the TX and RX of serial port 2; CDB0 and CDB1 are the TX and RX of serial port 3; DDB0 and DDB1 are the TX and RX of serial port 4. . Use a jumper cap to short-circuit TX and RX for self-transmitting and receiving testing.

Four channels were sent and received at the same time, and there was no packet loss.
