Overview

Chip solution DC-DC chip TPS40192DRCR

The input and output of the module are all binding posts.

Input voltage: 8-18V (12V recommended)

Output voltage: 5V

Output current: maximum 10A (design 6A)

Quiescent current 28ma

EN short circuit shuts down the module

Load test output efficiency:

1A (91%), 2A (93.7%), 3A (94.2%),

4A (94.2%), 4.9A (93.8%)

TPS40192 is a cost-optimized synchronous buck controller.

The input operating voltage range is 4.5V to 18V. These controllers use a voltage mode control architecture with a fixed switching frequency of 600kHz (TPS40192).

Since higher switching frequency facilitates the use of smaller inductors and output capacitors, compact power solutions can be achieved.

An adaptive anti-cross-conduction scheme can be used to avoid shoot-through current in the power FETs.
