Sony's super powerful IoT kit based on its own CXD5602 (open source information)

Overview

The biggest highlight of this kit is Sony's own 6-core microcontroller CXD5602, which comes with 1.5MB of general-purpose SRAM, 64KB of backup SRAM, and a main frequency of 156MHz. There is also an M0+ core assist processor for IO control management, which comes with 256KB of general-purpose SRAM. The built-in GNSS receiver supports GPS and GLONASS. Others include 2D graphics acceleration (supporting rotation, scaling, mixing, etc.); dedicated sensor acquisition peripherals (with its own 40KB FIFO and supporting preprocessing) supporting SPI, I2C and other interface methods; DCMI camera interface and I2S audio peripherals All pretty good too.

Due to the FD-SOI process, the CXD5602 chip is very energy-saving and can be powered by batteries. To add some knowledge here, according to ST’s earlier reports, ST’s current MCUs still use the CMOS process, which will be gradually migrated to FD-SOI, and pre-production will begin in 2019.

The kit comes with an audio/power management chip CXD5247, which supports 8 digital MIC inputs and 4 analog MIC inputs. It can easily implement a microphone array and is quite fun for sound collection.
Software development can use two methods: Arduino IDE and NuttX SDK. Many current open source flight control projects use NuttX.

All materials in this kit are open source and include a getting started manual
