product description:
This product is suitable for non-power-off applications of equipment during power outages. It uses external power supply when there is power and automatically and seamlessly switches to battery power supply when there is a power outage.
If you use a USB interface for power supply, it is recommended to use a Type-c interface, which can pass a much larger current, up to 5A.
Suitable for routers, cameras, development boards and other equipment, it can seamlessly switch to battery power supply when power is off, and the network can be connected even when power is off!
*Seamless switching between external power supply and battery dual power supply (no delay).
*Uninterrupted power supply, self-starting when power outage, self-charging when power comes.
*The output voltage is 5V/9v/12V optional, other voltages can be customized.
*Four practical functions: lithium battery charging, lithium battery protection, boost output, and UPS switching. *Two-color LED indicates the charging status, the green light is always on when full, and charging automatically stops.
* Type-C interface, large current flow.
Function description:
1. UPS function: When the power supply is powered, the power supply directly supplies power to the load through the boost circuit and charges the lithium battery at the same time. Once the power supply is cut off, the battery path is automatically activated to supply power to the load through the boost circuit.
2. Boost circuit: Peak power up to 20W, rated power up to 15W , BOST boost circuit, built-in 12A high current MOs, efficiency up to 96%, module static power consumption 25mA, optional 5V/9v/12V output.
( Load normal state is recommended to be <15W. Output 5V: current 3A, output 9V: current 1.6A, output 12V: current 1.2A )
3. Lithium battery protection: overshoot, overdischarge, overtemperature, overcurrent protection (enter after short circuit by mistake) There is no output in the protection state, and it will automatically activate and resume output when connected to 5V charging).
Instructions for use:
1. The USB port and the ports marked 5V+ and 5V- are external power supply ports. Just choose one of the two. The output interfaces marked USP+ and UPS- are. Weld the battery box on the back to connect the 18650 lithium battery. You can also connect other 3.7V lithium batteries.
2. When used as a UPS, the battery needs to be installed to ensure that the input 5V power supply has sufficient power, the output remains on in real time, and the battery power supply can be started at any time when the power is cut off.
3. If the UPS wants to save energy consumption, weld the output indicator light off after all tests are completed. This can reduce the current consumption by more than ten mA without affecting the normal output of the circuit, which is more energy-saving.
4. During operation, the board may be triggered to enter the protection state and not output due to various reasons (accidental touch, wrong connection, etc.). After troubleshooting, you can connect 5V to the charging port of the board for charging, and the board will be powered on again. Re-export can be activated.
5. The 5V charging power supply used by some users uses a larger capacitance output capacitor. This capacitor can continue to discharge after the power is turned off, causing the power supply voltage to have a slow drop process. This will cause the board to malfunction after the power is turned off. There is no quick switch to battery power. If you encounter such a situation, you can connect a discharge resistor of about 1K to the 5V input port.
6. If you want to increase the battery capacity of the UPS module, you can connect multiple cells in parallel, and other functions will not be affected.
