Based on IP2325 design, 5V input, supports two strings of lithium battery charging, has not been sampled and tested yet, the number of free visits has been used up this month, and the actual picture will be added later.
This module can charge some notebook battery packs with low power consumption (such as tablets, MacBook batteries, etc.), model aircraft batteries, and camera batteries. This module can be used to charge.
Let me complain here, those camera battery holders are really expensive to charge. . . A cradle charger costs more than thirty dollars and is only about 7W. The one that supports fast charging is even more expensive.
Only supports two strings! If a single cell is charged with a 4.3-4.4V high-voltage battery pack, the module cannot fully charge the battery, but it can charge it to 90-95%.
Chips and materials are not expensive. If they are so cheap, don’t be dissatisfied with batteries that do not support three-string and high-voltage platforms.
According to the circuit design provided in the specification, the materials can be attached and used exactly as specified in the specification. The NTC function is omitted and replaced by a resistor. The two resistors on the CC pin of TypeC are 5.1K.
Battery charging LED indicator status description: The LED lights up during charging, turns off when fully charged, and flashes when an abnormality is detected.
The battery voltage setting pin is as shown below. For normal single-cell 4.2V batteries, just leave this setting resistor unattached.
The following content is copied from the official specification sheet:
IP2325 is a boost charging management IC that supports dual series-connected lithium batteries/lithium-ion
batteries .
IP2325 integrates power MOS and adopts a synchronous switching architecture,
which requires only a few peripheral components during application, effectively reducing the size of
the overall solution and reducing the BOM cost.
IP2325's boost switching charging converter has an operating frequency
of 500KHz; 5V input, 8V/1.2A output conversion efficiency of 93%;
IP2325 has an input voltage limiting function that can intelligently adjust the charging
current and adapt to the adapter load capacity.
IP2325 supports external resistors to adjust charging voltage;
IP2325 integrates NTC protection function, and with NTC resistor,
IP2325 adopts ESOP8 package.
