Overview

SC16IS752/SC16IS762 is an i2c bus/SPI bus interface that provides data rates up to 5mbit/s, low operating and sleep current dual-channel high-performance UART; it also provides 8 additional programmable I/O pins for applications . The device comes in very small HVQFN32 and TSSOP28 packages, which makes it ideal for handheld, battery-operated applications. The chip achieves seamless protocol conversion from i2c bus/SPI to RS-232/RS-485, completely bidirectional. SPI or I2C mode can be selected by shorting the jumper cap on the board.
