Eye of God C3 Youth Edition Core Board V1

 
Overview

This is Xiaozhazha’s Eye of God round core board, the youth version that has been shrunk using the ESP-C3-12F module.

The following is an introduction to the copy version, all written down.


Compared to the original design, here are the design goals:

  • Basically maintain the main functions of the original design (referring to video playback
  • The main control was replaced with a cheaper and easier to solder ESP-C3-12F module; due to CPU limitations, the frame rate was reduced a little
  • The components are all 0603 and do not require a heating table; the modules can also be soldered with a soldering iron to avoid module consumption caused by the heating table; and they are all basic libraries, and SMT can also control costs.
  • Optimize BOM, reduce component types, and reduce costs. This time you can buy them all from the same store.
  • Optimize the switch IC, it is too difficult to buy
  • Keep the double-layer board at 5mil/5mil 0.6/0.3, any board factory can use it
  • Added battery voltage reading, but due to insufficient IO, the charging status cannot be read.
  • No external antenna required for wireless functionality
  • Keep the indicator light/button/Type-C interface position and shrink the TF card so that there is no need to change its casing.
  • Use Type-C to download directly to avoid group friends from consuming a large amount of serial port modules.

This pile of code:

  • Video playback function is retained, but will automatically loop
  • Added key switching function
  • The function of long pressing the button to turn on and off is retained, but it is implemented through software
  • I have shrunk the TF card and only use about 3M (without Bluetooth) or 2M (with Bluetooth) internal storage. It is still no problem to store seven types for a few seconds each.
  • Added Wi-Fi upload function
  • The Bluetooth remote control switching element can be enabled as a compile-time option

In short, the cost can be reduced relatively low, and the protocol is relatively open, making it more suitable for batches. (
Since this design is based on the design of Xiao Zezha, it is also open source based on the GPL 3.0 agreement (commercially available);
