----------Introduction----------
As the name suggests, this project is an adapter board that will be idle RTL8188 module waste recycling, although not fast, is enough for emergency use or for equipment that does not pursue speed.
Win10 driver-free plug and play! ! Win7 needs drivers! ! Drivers are provided for MacOS but have not been tested! !
The current adaptation form of the base plate is as follows:
1. U disk version - G2 base plate v2.0 (powered by RY3430)
2. U disk version - universal plate base v2.0 (powered by RY3430)
3. Independent module -TypeC input-SMA external antenna (powered by RY3430)
4. Independent module-TypeC input-IPEX external antenna (powered by RY3430)
----------I don't have this module, but I want to do this little thing, How do I need to get it? ----------
The wild RTL8188 wireless module can generally be found in TV set-top boxes, some cottage boards, copycat netbooks, surveillance cameras, low-end drones (toy-grade ones), and other equipment.
I personally don’t think it’s very cost-effective to buy a new tb to do this, but even if you buy a new one, the cost is still only more than ten yuan, so you can make your own choice.
----------Other notes and Q&A----------
1. Regarding the issue of whether MacOS can be used, after checking some sellers who sell modules and black Apple forums, I got most of them. The results all indicate that it can be used under MacOS, but unfortunately I don’t have a Mac at the moment so I can’t test it. If it works after testing, I hope you can give me your feedback in the comments. Thank you very much. (MacOS driver is included in the attachment).
2. The new version replaces 1117 with a RY3430DCDC power supply solution. Using LDO for power supply will cause the module to become very hot and cause unstable current interruptions. The DCDC currently used supports up to 3V output, leaving a lot of redundancy for powering the wifi module. , in theory, it won’t be a big problem if it is turned on for a long time.
3. Modules with the same package basically have the same definition. They can be directly welded to the base plate in this project and are not limited to the RTL8188ETV module. If you have other modules on hand, you can compare the packages, pins, and definitions to make your own judgment.
