Project Status

Steering wheel buttons and paddle shifters for racing simulators. Using cherry axis body, each side:

  • 2 thumb buttons,
  • 1 paddle shift button,
  • 1 encoder,
  • 4 buttons below

NOTE: Project is not complete


Code:

tinyboxxx/BTSWH2021a: Wireless button steering wheel, Bluetooth Steering Wheel Hub 2021 (github.com) Please refer to the three links written in the ino file to install the required libraries.

  • [x] 3.7 step down to 3.3V
  • [x] AB with two encoders connected
  • [x] Battery charging (TP4054/TP4057)
  • [x]Key extension or SPI (74hc165)
  • [x] Continue to connect
  • [x] PCB split into two pieces
  • [x] PCB proofing completed
  • [x] 20210830: Recently, it was discovered that GPIO34~39 does not have an internal pull-up and needs to be connected to an external pull-up. The encoder connection is wrong. Currently, flying wires are used to solve the problem.
  • [x] Under test, working normally
  • [x] Improved the back cover of the model and added mounting holes on the model
  • [x] Model 3D printing completed
  • [x] 20211013: The schematic and PCB have been modified.
  • [ ] The new version has not been proofed and tested, but it is theoretically OK. The PCB still needs to be beautified.
  • [ ] 3D model completed and uploaded
