1. Preface:
It is the first time to draw the DP HDMI VGA series video interface.
I still don’t understand a lot of things.
There are many problems leading to this.
2. Chip description:
RTD2166 is a DisplayPort to VGA converter with high cost. Capstone launched CS5212 in 2019, which is directly pin-to-pin compatible and replaces RTD2166. It can use the original RTD2166 small board frame and save 20 peripheral chips. material, cost is more optimized.
The CS5212 combines a DisplayPort input interface and an analog RGB DAC output interface. The embedded microcontroller is based on the industry standard 8051 core and is suitable for multiple market segments and display applications such as laptops, motherboards, desktops, adapters, converters and adapters.
Use CS5212 to pin to pin directly on the RTD2166 small board, which can save up to 16 peripheral components NC from needing to be attached.

3. Chip interface:
CS5212 integrates three 8bit-210MHz-DAC (digital-to-analog converter), each DAC is assigned to each color, R (red ), G (green) and B (blue). The analog VGA interface of CS5212 complies with VESA VSIS v1r2. True-CS5212 also integrates a timed hot plug detection mechanism.
The most popular video formats supported by CS5212 are shown in Table 2 below. However, the formats supported by CS5212 are not limited to this table. The data transfer bandwidth for these formats is lower. The CS5212 can also support pixel frequencies slower than the maximum bandwidth of the 2-channel Display Port HBR main link and (b) slower than the maximum DAC speed of 210 MHz.
Supported popular time/resolution
4. Supplementary note:
The conversion of DP to VGA for this work was unsuccessful! ! !
Busy business! Leave it to those who are interested to complete it! ! !
