DER-404 - 8 W dimmable, high efficiency, high PF, non-isolated LED driver for A19 lamps

 
Overview
This document describes a cost-effective LED dimmable power driver designed using the LYTSwitch-4 series device (LYT4322E), which uses a highly compact buck-boost topology and a single-sided PCB. The power supply operates over an input voltage range of 195 VAC to 265 VAC while providing single-stage active power factor correction with low harmonic distortion, making it suitable for commercial and industrial applications. The LED driver can be dimmed using leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers, and is compatible with dimmers from German, Italian, Australian and Chinese brands. The PI device used also integrates other protection features, such as automatic restart for open loop and output short-circuit conditions, and input overvoltage protection that provides enhanced immunity to input faults and surges. In addition, accurate hysteretic thermal shutdown ensures that the average PCB board temperature remains within a safe range under all conditions. This high level of integration minimizes the number of discrete components required. This document contains LED driver specifications, circuit schematics, PCB information, bill of materials, transformer specification files and typical performance characteristics.
