DER-360 - 7.5 W non-isolated, tapped buck, triac dimmable LED driver for PAR20 lamps

This document describes an isolated high power factor (PF), thyristor dimmable LED driver that can provide a rated voltage of 15 V and a rated current to an LED string within an input voltage range of 90 VAC to 132 VAC. 500 mA driver. This LED driver uses the LYT4311E device in the LYTSwitch-4 series IC. The topology used is a low-component-count, single-stage, tapped buck topology with power factor correction, which provides high efficiency, high power factor, and low THD. LYTSwitch-4 IC can also provide various complex protection functions, including automatic restart under loop open or output short-circuit conditions. This device can achieve high power factor and low THD. Input overvoltage shutdown provides enhanced immunity to input faults and surges, and accurate hysteretic thermal shutdown ensures that average PCB temperatures remain within safe limits under all conditions.
