Tildagon: EMF reusable electronic badge, beyond 2024

Overview

Each EMF has a unique electronic badge, but starting in 2024, EMFs will take a different approach. Badges are a great way to encourage experimentation and collaboration, but often get forgotten in a drawer after the festival is over. EMF hopes that this situation will change and we hope to bring back your badge at the next EMF. Special Introducing Tildagon: a reusable badge with modular components that upgrade with every activity, and hexagonal expansion slots that can be filled with your own creations. The Tildagon is hexagonal in shape, with a slot on each side that accepts "hex extensions." Heexpansions are 1mm thick objects with a specific shape on one side - it can be a circuit board to add new functionality, or made of cardboard (so you can quickly add cat ears).
