[Open Source] Car Speed Detector Based on Arduino and Infrared Sensor

Overview
The working of the Arduino and IR sensor based car speed detector project is very simple. Arduino continuously reads the input from the IR sensors. When the car moving in front of the setup reaches the first sensor, Arduino sounds an alarm and captures the timestamp of when the car leaves the first IR sensor. Hardware Components: Arduino UNO and Genuino UNO × 1, Alphanumeric LCD, 16 x 2 × 1, Jumper Wires (Universal) × 1, 9V Battery (Universal) × 1, Solderless Breadboard Full Size × 1, IR Proximity Sensor × 1, Buzzer × 1, Software Applications and Online Services, Arduino IDE.
