MPR121 Touchpad

 
Overview
Interpolation algorithms can be used to obtain the precise coordinates of a finger on the touchpad. If there are 7 electrodes arranged horizontally, from ELE0 to ELE6, the horizontal coordinates are calculated as follows:
SumN = 1 × Dele(0) + 2 × Dele(1) + 3 × Dele(2) + ... + 7 × Dele(6)
SumD = Dele(0) + Dele(1) + Dele(2) + ... + Dele(6)
Coordinate = SumN ÷ SumD
SumN(n) is the data from the filter register of each electrode in the mpr121, and SumD(n) is the data from the corresponding electrode reference value register.
The vertical coordinates can be calculated using the same method.
