Note: This electronic speed controller has an error. The VDD supply voltage for the EFM8BB21F16G-C-QFN20R in the circuit is 5V, but the datasheet recommends a supply voltage less than 3.6V. Some products in this chip series support 5V supply (with a built-in 5V-3.3V linear regulator), but the EFM8BB21F16G-C-QFN20R does not. The reason this design was still successfully verified despite this issue is likely because the chip engineer provided sufficient margin for VDD. (In short, the design is quite robust.)
