The OP

May I ask the moderator: How to increase the baud rate of the virtual serial port of STM32 USB? [Copy link]

I want it to run at 12Mbps! Haha

I have three questions for you:

1. In the device manager of the PC, the baud rate of the virtual serial port can only be set to 115200. How can I increase it?

2. How can I set the baud rate of the virtual serial port on the lower computer?

3. What is vcpdriver_v1.1_setup.exe used for? I have seen netizens mention it many times. Does it matter if I don't install it?

winapi can set the baud rate, generally the highest 3Mbps
12M bps is the USB transmission speed, the actual data rate must be discounted

12M is indeed too high. It is just an expectation and it is difficult to achieve in reality.

The maximum speed can reach 12M?

12Mbps is absolutely impossible to achieve, don’t wait, change the plan immediately.

Moderator of Perfume City, can it reach 1Mbyte/s?
I think 500K~800K is a reasonable estimate.

It can be used for now, but it's too late to change the solution now.

Moderator, can you answer the three newbie questions I asked above? Thank you

Moderator, can you answer the three newbie questions I asked above? Thank you
1) I don't know how to set it.
2) Modify the UART configuration parameters in the program.
3) This is the driver for the virtual serial port.

So, what is the difference between the virtual serial port driver and the provided .inf file? Do I need both? Or

is it enough to install only one? I have only installed the .inf file, but it seems to be running very unstable. Is it necessary to install the serial port driver?

No need to change the driver
Even if you set it to 9600bps, you can still reach a rate of 500~800k.
You just need to deal with the stm32 firmware.

It is difficult to achieve such a high speed at present.

The moderator has not yet come into contact with the USB part of STM32... Sorry. I hope you can get good at the USB part and open a special post for everyone to learn.
