The X-NUCLEO-DRP1M1 expansion board allows evaluation of the features of the TCPP03-M20, as well as the required USB Type-C™ features and protection for VBUS and CC lines for dual function power supply (DRP) applications.

The expansion board can be stacked on top of any STM32 Nucleo-64 whose microcontroller has embedded Power Delivery (UCPD) peripherals.
Thanks to the integrated ST715PU33R LDO linear regulator powering the connected STM32 Nucleo development board, the X-NUCLEO-DRP1M1 effectively demonstrates "dead battery" and charging operations. It also demonstrates USB Type-C™ powered operation when a compatible external power source is connected to the board.
In addition, the expansion board allows dual data functionality of the powered device.
The X-NUCLEO-DRP1M1 complies with USB Type-C™ and Power Delivery Specification 3.1 Standard Power Range (SPR) and is USB-if certified as a 100 W DRP solution supporting Programmable Power Supply (PPS).
The accompanying software package (X-CUBE-TCPP) contains application examples for development boards with embedded UCPD-based microcontrollers (NUCLEO-G071RB, NUCLEO-G474RE and NUCLEO-G0B1RE).
