The commonly used "current sensors" are all non-contact type. "Contact" should mean that the circuit to be tested is electrically connected to the measuring circuit. Such "current sensors" are usually called shunts, which are actually small resistors.

It is best for the original poster to write down the measurement requirements clearly first. Non-contact type generally measures large currents, and it is not easy to measure small currents.

Non-contact ones are all mutual inductance (Hall current sensors, as long as they use magnetism, are all mutual inductance).
