I checked the datasheet of BTS410E2, mainly to see the pin functions. When IN is high, it is turned on. When one end of the optocoupler, GPIO E8, is low, the right end is turned on. Because it is connected to R55, it can be maintained at a high level, and then the MOS tube is turned on and starts working. VBB is the power supply. The resistor and diode should be when IN is 0, the MOS tube is turned off, and a current will flow from VBB to the power supply. Connecting a resistor and a diode can protect the circuit (this is some of my own speculation, I think there is some basis). ST is diagnostic feedback, low level is a fault (low on failure). It should be possible to see that the optocoupler below is mirror-symmetrical with the one above. When ST is low, it is turned on, and the GPIO E9 input detects a low level (indicating a fault).
