In the circuit,
Al is a comparator and A2 is a one-shot timer
. When the light is interrupted,
the current of the photodiode VD changes. The Al output triggers
A2, and the A2 output goes low and
remains low for 60s (determined by island and cl)
. Changing the resistance value of the resistor can change
the sensitivity of VD to light, but the ratio should
remain unchanged in order to provide a certain reverse
bias voltage for VD.
