2-watt FM transmitter
This 2-watt FM transmitter offers a range of 10 km in good weather conditions. A dipole antenna is used for maximum range. The transmitter can be tuned between 88-108 MHz via C5. The BB204 can be replaced with a conventional (large) reverse-biased LED (does not light up under correct polarity). A 9V power supply provides good sound quality for 2 km transmission; up to 18V is available for a 10 km range. The 2N3553 RF transistor can be replaced with a 2N4427 or 2N3866.
