Simple digital oscilloscope
This is a very simple digital oscilloscope design. The original project is from EP 8/2004. The only modification I made was adding an RS232 to USB converter for use with my laptop. The schematics can be found here: Analog and Digital.
The analog input section features an OPA2350 amplifier and a relay as a voltage divider. The ADC is a fast TV IC, TDA8703. Digital data is transmitted via a DS89C420, and the results are displayed in a PC application via USB.
RS232 connectors are becoming increasingly rare in modern computers. That's why I decided to make this converter. I suspect there's at least one computer without USB.
