Temperature monitoring
A thermally activated sensor can be made using the thermistor in the indicated position. Temperature changes alter the operational amplifier's output, activating a relay and illuminating an LED. Swapping the positions of the thermistor and the 47kΩ resistor can create a low-temperature or frost alarm.
