Part of this precision audio generator uses an electret microphone to receive the piano's audio signal, which is processed and placed on one line of a dual-trace oscilloscope. Another part of the circuit is used to generate the variable frequency of a digital frequency counter. After adjustment, the audio signal is sent to another line of the oscilloscope and output to stereo headphones.
