Do you know about miniature infrared receivers with sensitive noise suppression capabilities? Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced the launch of a new generation of miniature infrared (IR) receiver modules for infrared remote controls.

Vishay Semiconductors TSOP11xxx, TSOP12xxx, TSOP13xxx, TSOP14xxx and TSOP18xxx series devices improve the sensitivity to infrared signals in dark and noisy environments, and also have better ability to suppress radio frequency noise. The device has very high pulse width accuracy and is suitable for applications with demanding coding requirements, even the most stringent pulse width standards such as SIRCS and RCMM.

Do you know about the miniature infrared receiver with sensitivity and noise suppression capabilities?

The device announced today can be used in infrared remote controls in televisions, set-top boxes, speakers, air conditioners, video projectors, cameras, game consoles and other products. For the remote control functions in these products, these devices have enhanced resistance to various interferences, such as infrared radiation from mercury lamps and radio frequency radiation from Wi-Fi antennas on circuit boards. Additionally, the module improves pulse width accuracy, enables lower bit error rates using virtually any encoding, and the device is insensitive to supply voltage fluctuations and ripple noise.

To simplify the design, the receiver integrates the photodetector, preamplifier circuit and infrared filter in a 3-pin epoxy resin Cast (TSOP11xxx), Mold (TSOP12xxx and TSOP14xxx), Minimold (TSOP13xxx) or Minicast (TSOP18xxx) package inside.

Each series has carrier frequencies from 30kHz to 56kHz, with 6 automatic gain control (AGC) versions for short and long burst coding. The power supply voltage of all receivers is 2.5V~5.5V, the power supply current is small, it complies with RoHS and Vishay green standards, and is halogen-free. The above is the analysis of a miniature infrared receiver with sensitivity and noise suppression capabilities. I hope it can be helpful to everyone.
