DC motor energy consumption braking circuit

The circuit is shown in the figure. When braking, press the stop button STP, the DC contactor KM loses power, its normally closed contact KM returns to the closed state, causing the voltage relay KV coil to be electrically activated, and its normally open contact KV closes, causing the DC contactor KMB to be For electric action, connect the braking resistor R and the armature M in parallel. Since the direction of the excitation current has not changed, the torque generated by the motor is braking torque, causing the motor to stop quickly. When the counter electromotive force of the motor M is lower than the release voltage of the voltage relay KV, the contact KV is opened, causing the KMB to lose power and release, completing the braking process.
