When the control relay KAi (not shown in the figure) is closed, the transistor VT is turned on and the
relay KA2 is powered. When KAi is released, the counter electromotive force generated by the relay KAz coil will breakdown the voltage regulator tube VS, supplying VT base current through VS, causing VT to conduct instantaneously, and relay KA2 will directly discharge to the ground through the VT tube,
greatly shortening the
discharge time.
