• Heat resistant design suitable for surface mounting
This surface mountable connector's housing is made of heat
resistant plastic to allow reflow soldering.
• In-line surface mount tails
Has an in-line surface mount tails for easy inspection.
• Embossed taping for automatic mounting
This connector is supplied in embossed tape packaging, for
mounting by automatic placement machines.
• Double-sided contact
This connector has highly resilient phosphor bronze contacts,
each of which has two independent mating spring members
that ensure continuity even when subjected to severe
vibration. Because each of the contacts simultaneously mates
with both sides of the FFC or FPC, the engineer has greater

• Simple snap-in action
The FFC or FPC is securely connected by simply inserting its
leads into the connector.
• Interchangeability
The PC board layout for the FL connector (non-ZIF type) is
identical to that of the FLZ connector (ZIF type). This allows
the use of both types of connector without changing the PCB
layout.
