All types of chokes correspond to the international specifications for
radio interference chokes (EN 138100).
Magnetic compensating chokes are primarily used as interference
suppression components in electronic equipment where common mode
interference is a problem. Coupled with suitable capacitors these
chokes can operate as interference protection suppression filter
systems.
The range offers a wide choice of operating voltages, rated cur-
rents inductance values etc., and are encapsulated in plastic en-
closure so that protect them against environmental factors such
as humidity, shock and vibration.
The range also includes chokes with 2 (L+ N) and 4 (3 x L + N)
inductors, which may be required for various applications. De-
pending on the case style these chokes are fitted with pins fastons
or wire leads. They are designed to operate from 230/400 VAC
mains supplies and meet the requirements of VDE 0565, T.2 and
EN 60950 norms.
These chokes may also be used in direct current applications
where magnetic compensation is required. Other ranges of high
current DKIP and high inductance DKLP types of chokes are avail-
able (page 26/28).
