On July 22nd, the third Avnet Automotive Ecosystem Summit (AAES2025) grandly opened in Hangzhou, the capital of AI. Themed "Intelligent Mobility: Transforming the Automotive Ecosystem in the AI Era," the summit brought together leaders from the global automotive industry chain to showcase cutting-edge technological achievements and explore development trends in the AI automotive era. Over 260 people attended the in-person summit, with lively discussions in the technology exhibition area. The livestream also proved popular, with over 30,000 people flocking to the virtual venue to explore the boundless possibilities of technology-enabled automotive ecosystems in the AI era.

01

As the future is defined by AI, the automotive ecosystem needs to be deeply restructured

By 2025, AI-defined cars will have become a new commanding height and core issue for reshaping product value and reconstructing the industrial ecosystem.

Driven by technology, cars are transcending traditional modes of transportation, evolving into intelligent mobile devices that integrate perception, decision-making, and execution. This evolution is accelerating the shift in automotive electronic and electrical architecture from a distributed model to a highly integrated "central computing + regional control" model. Simultaneously, OEMs are deepening their collaboration with chip and software vendors, actively building technology alliances centered around AI to create an "intelligent entity" with the ability to continuously evolve, thereby achieving a new industry ecosystem characterized by equal safety and inclusive intelligent driving.

At the third Avnet Automotive Ecosystem Summit, many well-known international OEM leaders, experts, scholars and industry partners were invited to attend. Focusing on the three major technical topics of "intelligent driving", "new energy power" and "car.AI. cross-border collaboration" , they analyzed the technological evolution path of the automotive industry and demonstrated the industrial transformation landscape in the AI era.

As an open communication platform, the Avnet Automotive Ecosystem Summit has been successfully held in eight cities over the past two years. This year, we launched our summit in Hangzhou and will continue our journey to Wuhan. We hope that through this platform, industry colleagues can connect and exchange ideas, and jointly discuss technological trends and industry hot topics. In the future, Avnet will, as always, be rooted in China and serve the world, continuing to work hand in hand with all partners to shape the intelligent mobility ecosystem.

Collaborative Development: Decoding the Development Opportunities in the AI-Defined Automotive Era

The current wave of intelligentization is profoundly impacting automotive R&D, manufacturing, and usage, bringing new opportunities and challenges to the industry. As a core technology driving industry upgrades, AI big models are driving the transition from "software-defined" to "AI-defined" automotive. According to relevant data, the penetration rate of L2 and above standard features in Chinese passenger cars will approach 55% in 2024. New energy brands will lead in the adoption of high-end intelligent driving (NOA), and models priced below 150,000 yuan and between 300,000 and 500,000 yuan will represent the core growth market.

At the summit, Gasgoo Automotive Partner and Vice President of the Research Institute, Mr. Wang Xianbin, delivered a speech titled "Insights into AI-Defined Automotive Market Opportunities." Focusing on the convergence of AI and automotive, he analyzed market and technology trends for smart electric vehicles, the application of AI throughout the vehicle lifecycle, and potential development opportunities within the automotive industry.
