On October 14, 2025, the China Semiconductor Global New Channel Summit Forum, co-hosted by Guanchazhe.com, the School of Microelectronics at Fudan University, and the Integrated Circuit Industry Chapter of the Fudan University Alumni Association , was held at the Shanghai Greenland Bund Center. Avnet was invited to attend the event and shared with industry colleagues its innovative practices in building supply chain resilience and its approach to balancing technological innovation and market expansion .

With "Reconstructing Resilience and Solving Risks" as its core theme, this forum brings together senior executives from leading companies in the semiconductor industry chain, industry experts and academic representatives. Through keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, they will deeply analyze the challenges faced by the industry in going overseas, discuss practical paths for building supply chain resilience and solving risks, and provide intellectual support for Chinese semiconductor companies' overseas opportunities, compliance challenges and digital transformation paths, and for the industry to break through.

Currently, the global semiconductor industry is undergoing profound restructuring, with geopolitical and supply chain risks intertwined. China's semiconductor industry is in a critical window of opportunity, transitioning from scale expansion to quality improvement. Faced with the accelerated restructuring of the global supply chain and the continued spillover of geopolitical risks, companies expanding overseas urgently need to overcome the dual dilemmas of bottlenecks and supply chain disruptions. The deep integration of next-generation AI technology and digital manufacturing is reshaping the semiconductor global ecosystem: replacing inventory redundancy with data intelligence, precisely shortening delivery times with algorithms, driving process iteration with models, and fully empowering production capacity with computing power. This is driving a leap forward in both single-site yield and cross-regional collaboration efficiency.

Global distribution network helps "Chinese chips" go global

Zhang Wei, Director of Supplier and Product Management Department IV at Avnet , shared the practical experience of a leading global distribution company, focusing on the topic of "Avnet Helping Chinese Chips Go Global." As a foreign-invested enterprise with 30 years of deep roots in China, Avnet, through its 250 global distribution networks, 13 logistics centers, and over 2,000 engineers, provides dual-dimensional support for Chinese chip manufacturers and customers: expanding into Europe and the United States, and supporting the China+1 strategy.

Zhang Wei explained that Avnet has established partnerships with several leading Chinese chip manufacturers. Through its localized sales and technical teams, Avnet helps these companies connect with high-quality European and American customers. Furthermore, to meet the needs of Chinese electronics companies seeking to expand their production capacity overseas, Avnet provides logistics support, customized technical services, and global trade compliance. Since 2020, Avnet has been assisting partners in applying for export licenses, helping companies expand their businesses within a compliant framework.

Through guest sharing and exchanges of ideas, this forum clarified the compliance foundation, technical path, and cooperation direction for China's semiconductor overseas expansion. As the global supply chain shifts from a "chain-based" model to a "multi-network" model, Chinese semiconductor companies must establish technological development as a foundation, build a shared ecosystem as a facilitator, and leverage regional cooperation as a link. By "rebuilding resilience and mitigating risks," they can forge new paths to overseas expansion and inject Chinese strength into the balanced development of the global semiconductor industry.
