This issue of Digi-Key Daily recommends two products: Keystone color-coded SMT test points and ADI ADT7422 high-precision digital temperature sensor.

Product Product 1: Keystone Color-Coded SMT Test Points

PCB design often requires the placement of essential test points , a crucial step in large-scale PCB production testing and troubleshooting. These test points must provide reliable electrical connections for external test probes and be easily identifiable.

Keystone Electronics has developed a series of surface-mountable (SMT) test points to meet these design requirements. These SMT test points feature color-keyed insulator bases (available in 10 colors: red, black, white, yellow, orange, brown, green, blue, purple, and gray) for easy visualization and quick identification. Their phosphor bronze with silver plating offers excellent solderability and low resistance. The test point's wire loop provides a convenient access point for J-hooks and test probes.

Because the test points are manufactured with high-temperature LCP, their color-coded bases are suitable for SMT reflow operations, and the tape and reel packaging makes them well-suited for automated assembly systems.
