This week's new product recommendations: 3M's compact and robust PCB connection solutions and CUI's power supply products that meet new safety standards.

PCB connection is a common design requirement when developing electronic products. A small, robust PCB connection solution is essential. 3M 's 451 series socket assemblies and 452 series board-mount headers are designed to meet this requirement.

The new 451 Series ribbon cable receptacle assemblies feature a 0.05” (1.27mm) pitch, enabling high connection density in limited spaces. Available in 30µ gold-plated and gold-plated copper versions, they feature a friction lock mechanism to prevent accidental disconnection for improved connection reliability.

The 452 Series board-mount headers, designed to mate with the 451 Series , feature a shrouded design with positive locking and ejection features, maximizing design flexibility and minimizing PCB footprint. These headers are available in 30µ gold -plated and gold-flash versions, with vertical and right-angle mounting options, as well as through-hole and SMT configurations. They are compatible with lead-free processes and automated pick-and-place assembly.
