A reference solution for a DSC/DVC device with low-power features, high-quality codecs, and integrated input/output interfaces such as microphones, speakers, headphones, and stereo lines. Using the advanced signal processing function of the Nuvoton stereo codec series NAU8822L chip can reduce noise signals and enhance audio quality.
The NAU8822L integrates all of these drivers and speaker preamps, headphones, stereo line I/O and stereo microphones with high-precision 24-bit ADCs and DACs in a cost-effective 32-wire QFN package.
It also supports on-chip advanced signal processing functions, including 5-band equalizer, automatic level control, multiple programmable filters, and dynamic range compressor/limiter to reduce noise signals and enhance audio quality.
Key simulation specifications are shown below. The main difference between the NAU8822L and NAU8820 is that the NAU8820 does not have a speaker driver.
- DAC: 94dB SNR and -84dB THD ("A" weighted)
- ADC: 90dB SNR and -80dB THD ("A" weighted)
- Integrated BTL speaker driver: 1W/8Ω (NAU8822L only)
- Integrated headphone driver: 40mW/16Ω
- Integrated DSP: 5-band equalizer, ALC, DRC/limiter, multiple programmable filters
