Fingerprint recognition technology consists of software and hardware. The hardware part is the fingerprint sensor, which is divided into capacitive (scanning through charge, temperature difference, and pressure) and optical (scanning through light to form a shadow) sensors. For optical fingerprint sensors, the Nuvoton N329 series is based on the 32-bit Arm® ARM9EJ-S core.
